Eliot participated in the Associated General Contractors of Maine Gubernatorial debate. During the debate, Eliot addressed a number of key issues facing Maine.
The first TV spot "Independence, Strength, Leadership" highlights Eliot's leadership credentials and his clear strategy for lowering the costs of living and doing business in Maine.
I helped Ed Muskie write the laws that protect our environment – the Clean Air Act & the Clean Water Act – and I have helped to develop sustainable airports, highways and other job-creating projects. I know how to achieve balance, because I’ve done it.
I am convinced that real change and a strong new economic foundation for Maine will only come if we move beyond the tired political rivalries that have left our major parties beholden to narrow interest groups and starved for new ideas.
